video projects

CIRCA Art Magazine is inviting proposals for web-based video projects.

Projects should be innovative and efficient in terms of web space. The proposal should consist of a few paragraphs outlining the project, possibly with visuals; it should be accompanied by a CV. video projects will run initially until the end of 2001 and selection will take place on an ongoing basis. All commissioned projects will be displayed on our website, www.recirca.com, and successful artists will have access to CIRCA's new video development facilities.

Video-editing facilities in our Dublin, Editorial Office, include:

Hardware:

• Sony TRV 20 E Digital Video Camera with DV-in/out
• Mac G4s with 19-inch screen and dual display
• Scanner with transparency hood
• CD Writer
• Ethernet web access

Software:

• Adobe Premiere
• Photoshop
• Quark
• Dreamweaver
• Flash
• Authorware
• MS Office

(CIRCA is also looking for interns in the areas of graphic design and layout, visual art, web design, magazine publishing, video editing and scanning. Based on an exchange of time, interns will work in CIRCA's office in ArtHouse and have access to CIRCA's facilities to develop their own projects. More information here.)
