Written in her dreams?
Jenny Ring, 18, from St. Paul's Secondary School, Dublin 12, has been chosen to 'represent Ireland' in an international Unilever art exhibition to be shown at Tate Modern in London opening 28 March. Ring is one of nineteen students who were selected from thousands of entries, and will travel to London to see her painting Written in my dreams.
The exhibition is the culmination of the Unilever International Schools Art Project (UISAP), an education project which encourages young people to create original work that is based upon a theme relating to the work of the commissioned artist for the Unilever Series. This year's theme of 'Reality and Dreams' is inspired by the work of Carsten Höller, whose work Test site, a commission of five giant slides, has attracted a huge number of visitors to Tate Modern since it opened in October last year.
Following the event at Tate Modern, the exhibition will move to London's National Theatre where it will be on display from 30 March to 21 April 2007.
