Artist strangled

Sad, unexplained news from Karachi: one of Pakistan's most famous artists, Ismail Gulgee, has been strangled at his home in Karachi; his wife and maid were also killed. Their bodies were discovered on Wednesday, but they had apparently been killed a few days previously. It seems that the motive cannot have been robbery. Is there a possible religious overtone to the murder?: muslims are today celebrating Eid al Azha, which marks Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son at God's command; Christians and Muslims differ on whether the son in question was Isaac or Ismail.
