Dublin-based Isabel Nolan has won the inaugural Louis O'Sullivan Award at Art 08, the art fair currently taking place at the RDS, Dublin. She was nominated by the Kerlin Gallery, by whom she is represented. O'Sullivan is the organiser of Art 08, an ever-growing adjunct to the larger Interior Design 08 fair.

NSF temporary commissions

The National Sculpture Factory, Cork, has announced the winners of its competition for three temporary projects in the Cork docklands area. They are Cork-based artists Eli Caamaño and Sorcha O’Brien - who "are planning to install large spherical balloon sculptures on the roofs of key buildings along Kennedy's Quay" - Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, from Chicago, who will "use a weather station and a sea container to collect local weather data"; and Séamus Nolan, based in Dublin, who "is planning to initiate worker-led tours of the area, framing it as a walkway through a protected environment."
