PLEASE TAKE NOTE: IN REGARD TO THE WORK AT THE VENUE: KING JOHN’S CASTLE
OF THE ARTIST: MARK CLARE
TITLE OF WORK: SPLENDID ISOLATION
MEDIUM: WOOD / PLASTIC INSTALLATION
THIS WORK IN ITS PRESENT CONDITION AND APPEARANCE IS NOT IN KEEPING WITH THE ARTIST’S ORIGINAL CONCEPT AND DESIGN.
DUE TO THE EFFECT OF THE SEASON’S HIGH WINDS COMING OFF THE SHANNON RIVER THE WORK WAS TOPPLED AND DAMAGED IN THE FALL. IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED BUT ONLY PARTIALLY RE-ERCTED ACCORDING TO ITS ORIGINAL PLAN DUE TO THE CONTINUING THREAT OF HIGH WINDS.
PLEASE CONSULT THE ACCOMPANYING ILLUSTRATION FOR A CLEAR REFERENCE TO THE PROPER INSTALLATION OF THE ARTIST’S ORIGINAL PLAN OF SPLENDID ISOLATION.
THE e v+ a COMMITTEE AND TEAM REGRETS THIS OCCURENCE AND ANY INCOVENIENCE OR CONFUSION CAUSED TO THE ARIST AND HIS AUDIENCE.

The object that was re-erected after the storm in no way represents the original work submitted by Mark Clare and was done so without his consent. The artist disassociates himself with the object presented by the e v+ a committee after the 11th of March
