Shredders: the final reckoning

What follows is a selection of the results from Shredders, a CIRCA correspondence-art project by Gina Davey. You can view the whole project here. Davey herself now reports.

The Shredders project began in the Spring issue of CIRCA magazine. I wanted to see how people would respond to four images taken from contemporary consumer culture and express their diversity. The images - an ear, a pair of lips, the grid of a car and cherries - were available in the bookmark of CIRCA and online.

I am very pleased with the responses which came from various sources including Ireland, Portugal and the U.S.A. A sincere thanks to all participants for their time and effort. It was a worthwhile correspondence and I hope people enjoyed participating.

A big thanks to CIRCA magazine for considering the initial proposal and for facilitating the project through to completion.
